The Stinkers

It has been said that the buck is 50% of the herd.  We have incorporated bucks from herds known for their great genetics.  Bucks are very interesting critters.  While their antics border on disgusting much of the time they also can prove quite amusing.  Owning a buck is not for the faint of heart though.  In addition to those aforementioned disgusting traits - whoooeeee do they ever stink!

We offer driveway breeding services to recently vet tested CAE and Johnes negative does from clean herds.   Contact us for details and pricing.

Desperado a very correct little buck, with his sire's straight and upright feet and legs, a level top line, wide and open ribbing, and extremely wide throughout.  As he ages his shoulders have tightened up, and his dairy character has improved greatly.

Dam: ARMCH Rosasharn's UMT Sassafras 'E' (Deceased)

Sire: ARMCH Rosasharn's Tiger L 'E'

We are so pleased to have Sitka in our herd!  Being a half brother to our CH Rosasharn's TL Zenith, we can only expect great things. He's an extremely refined buckling, with overall great confirmation, not to mention that beautiful face.  Sitka is very long from hips to pins and levels out a great deal on the move.   We couldn't be more pleased with his kids, thus far he's consistently throwing refined, stylish kids with level toplines, and wide, open escutcheons.  We'll get to see udders in 2010, and I'm sure excited!

Show Record: ADGA: 1x Grand Champion, 2x Jr. Reserve Grand Champion, 1x Best Of Breed, 4x 1st Place.

Dam: CH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey

Sire: CH Algedi Farm H Drops Of Jupiter

What a pleasant surprise was waiting for us under his winter coat.  'Smoky' is a very refined young buck, with correct feet and legs, a level and uphill topline, and loose dairy skin.  Unfortunately we only got to see a few of his kids in 2008, but from the little we saw, we're very pleased with the level , sharp, and angular kids.

Show Record: ADGA 2x Grand Champion, 4x Reserve Grand (One restricted), 6x 1st place, 3x 2nd place (large class)

Sire: Rosasharn's UMT Hamachi

We couldn't be more thrilled with Jupiter.  Not only does this guy boast wonderful general appearance, extremely correct feet and legs, a long and level topline, and great width and capacity through out, he also lays claim to a respectable show record, including a Best In Show against some top quality standard bucks, but also his kids have been a joy to watch.  He's consistently passing on his level topline, dairy character and feet and legs to his offspring.  We saw one Jupiter udder in 2008, and it reminds me of Zenith's as a first freshener.  A tight MSL, snug side attachments, but improved udder texture, teat size, and the best orifices in our herd.

Show Record: ADGA: 2x Best in Show (Against the big boys!) 5x Sr. Grand Champion, 5x Best of Breed, 3x Reserve Grand, 8x 1 place, 3x 2 place.

Updates: Jupiter's kids are certainly rising to meet our expectations, placing near or the top of their class consistently.  His '06 doeling out of Tupelo (Splash O' Honey) snatched up her Jr. leg, along with a Jr. Reserve at her first show, and his '07 Tupelo (Amrita) daughter placed 1x 1st and 3x 2nd.

DOB 05-19-03

Dam: ARMCH Rosasharn's Unagi 3*D

Sire: ARMCH Rosasharn's Under My Thumb *S 'E' (Deceased)

Machi has wonderful genetics!  His dam ARMCH Rosasharn's Unagi 3*D is ARMCH on her first freshening at 2 years old and  in 2004 Unagi was #3 in milk production, #5 in butterfat and protein !  His Grand-Dam ARMCH Rosasharn's Uni 3*D 'E' is the 2002 and 2003 breed leader for milk production and butterfat!  In 2004 Uni was breed leader for milk production, butterfat and protein!  Machi has tight shoulders and withers, a straight topline and very w-i-d-e in the back.  He is a really sweet boy, and seems to pass on his temperament to his offspring.

Show Record: ADGA: 1 x Reserve Grand Champion, 5 x 1 place, 2 x 2 place. AGS: 1 x Reserve Sr. Grand Champion, 1 x 2nd, 1 x 1st

Updates on kids: Hamachi is proving himself to be quite the udder buck.  Passing on beautiful side attachments, snug MSLs, and improved foreudders, not to mention great teat placement and large orifices.  We couldn't be more pleased with our boy.

When it comes to shows Hamachi doesn't shine.  He stresses and hunches up, along with 'dancing' in the ring.  He's going to sit back, and let his kids do the talking for him from here on out.  I'm sure he'll find his life as a brood buck much more enjoyable.

Dam: ARMCH Rosasharn's Unagi 3*D

Unagi's achievments:

11 x Best in show

9 x Best udder (including at the ANDDA Specialty show at the 2003 National Show).
