CH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey 4*D LA2008 VVEE 89 VG
22" Sire: ARMCH Rosasharn's Under My Thumb (Deceased) Dam: ARMCH Rosasharn's Buckwheat Honey 3*D LA2007 EEEE 91 E Body Shot: Third Freshening. Udder: Second Freshening Tupelo is an exceptional doe whom we are so pleased to have. She's a very smoothly blended, upstanding doe, who also boasts a long body, the correct width between her hocks and chest floor, lovely angulation and extremely loose and thin dairy skin (which makes clipping a pain!). Her udder is socked on, with incredible side attachments, wonderful shape, large teats and easy to milk orifices. I would like to see less of a pocket on her foreudder. Along with a more refined head and higher set ears. While her pasterns are short and straight, she could benefit from tighter toes that face dead on. But no goat is perfect, and we're pretty darned pleased with our girl! Tupelo is bred to Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay for 3-28-09 kids. Show Record: ADGA: 1 x Best Doe In Show (Against the big girls!) 3 x Sr. Grand Champion, 7 x BOB,, 1 x BUOB 3 x Reserve Grand Champion, 3 x 1st udder. Kalee's Notes: Tupelo is an extremely proud and intelligent doe. She's both herd queen over the does and - in her mind - herd queen over the petty humans. When on the milkstand she'll become angry when her bucket dares run out of grain and flings it to the floor, along with her neighbor's bucket if she can, regardless of if they're finished with their grain. And then if I scold her, she gives me big deer eyes with a "What, me? But I'm so sweet an innocent!" look.

CH Rosasharn's TL Zenith 3*D LA2008 EEVE
90 Ex! 22 1/2" Sire: ARMCH Rosasharn's Tiger L *S LA2007 +AE 82 + Dam: ARMCH Rosasharn's Eclipse 2*D LA2007 EEEV 90 E
Body Shots: Fourth and Second Freshening. Udder: Fourth Freshening Zenith is a true miniature dairy goat, and brings attention to herself where ever she goes. She's very refined and elegant, with a long body, uphill topline, sleek neck, and flat, open ribs. She's basically dripping with dairy character, and many judges have commented she's what a Nigerian should look like. Zenith does lack overall body capacity and width, something she's been ever so slowly adding with age, but we're not complaining, as at five and having sixteen kids from just four freshenings, she still looks like a three year old. While for the last three years her herdmate, Tupelo, has been praised for having the better udder, this year Zenith has really come into her own. I feel that her udder resembles her half sister, ARMCH Rosasharn's Buckwheat Honey EEEE 91's, with the same rear extension, tight side attachments and high rear. Zenith also boasts a tight medial ligament, tons of capacity while still being high above her hocks, and soft texture. I wish she had larger teats, however. While she does have nice extension to her foreudder, unfortunately she does have a slight pocket. In 2008 she kidded with quintuplets, all of which survived and stayed on their dam. Even with feeding the small army, she still produces 1/3-1/2 of cup of excess milk twice a day. Makes me wish she was on milk test this year! Zenith is bred to Ch Algedi Farm Smokin' Hot Honey for 03-30-09 kids. Show Record: ADGA: 3 x Sr. Grand Champion, 4 x BOB, 2 x BUOB, 1 x Reserve Champion, 3 x 1st udder. Kalee's Notes: Zenith, or 'Bug' as I call her, is my favorite goat in many, many aspects. She's never had trouble kidding, and absolutely adores babies, often watching over all the kids born that year, and has tried to steal herdmate's kids. She's a pleasure to work with, lady-like milkstand manners, easy to lead and show, and gives me no trouble when its clipping time. She also has a fun personality, and is very vocal, constantly scolding me for not graining her first, talking to her kids, and I think she just plain old likes the sound of her voice. Zenith would be the last goat I'd part with, not just because she's beautiful, but because she's also my friend. |

Algedi Farm H Lady Venus Sale pending - thanks Ken! LA2008 +++V 83 G+ 20" DOB 3-4-05 Sire: Rosasharn's UMT Hamachi *S Dam: CH Rosasharn's TL Zenith Body Shot: Second Freshening with kid on her (no milk in udder) Udder: First Freshening Venus is a small doe that lacks in refinement, but excels in width and depth of body. She has good dairy skin, open ribbing, and a level topline, including a long and wide rump, especially compared to her size. Her shoulders do roll while on the move, and could benefit from being tighter and flatter. She's freshened with a very tightly attached small udder that has super snug side attachments, and nice fore udder extension. While her teats could be larger, she has nice udder texture and large orifices. Thus far, she does seem to be throwing more refined and dairy kids then herself, and due to a "No, I will not walk or setup, instead why not lay down, or choke myself on my collar?" attitude I think she'll stay home as a brood doe. Venus is for sale as a brood doe. $450 open, or $500 bred to the buck of your choice Venus is bred to Ch Algedi Farm Smokin' Hot Honey for 03-30-09 kids. Show Record: Not yet shown. Algedi Farm H Chocolata Kiss LA2008 +VVV 85 VG 19 1/4" DOB 3-2-05 Sire: Rosasharn's UMT Hamachi *S Dam: Elkins QSF Sombrita
Body and udder: First Freshening Chocolata is nice little doe, with major milking genetics. She sports nice general appearance, high withers, though her shoulders roll, a decent top line, though her rump has more of a slope then we'd like, and it's a bit short. She has a nice rear leg set, angular, and perpendicular from pasterns to hocks, and hocks to pins. Chocolata has nice depth of body for her age, and lovely width in the rear escutcheon. I would like to see a longer neck, and more bone refinement is this girl, but all and all she's a huge improvement over her dam and has freshened with an all around very nice udder - teat size is a little on the small side, but large orifices and great texture make milking her a breeze. Chocolata is bred to Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay for 03-28-09 kids. Show Record: ADGA: 1x Sr. Grand Champion

Algedi Farm DJ Splash o' Honey LA2008 +V+V 85 VG 20" DOB 4-26-06 Sire: CH Algedi Farm H Drops Of Jupiter Dam: CH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey Body and udder: First Freshening This is really a horrible picture of a lovely young doe. Due to her being less then willing to cooperate and an inept photographer (sorry dad!), she looks much better in person. Being from a very slow to mature line, I feel Splash will really come into her own with another freshening or two under her belt. She's very, very similar to her grand-dam, Ch Zenith. Very refined and stylish, with a level topline and flat bone pattern, along with straight forelegs, with tight toes and short, high, pasterns. I would like to see her with more depth and width, and also a flashier general appearance, but those things could improve with age. Her first freshening udder rose to meet our expectations - very much resembling Zenith's udder her first time around, with great rear udder, and side attachments, along with improved butter soft texture and amazing orifices - making her the easiest doe to milk in our herd. Splash is bred to Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay for 03-25-09 kids. Show Record: ADGA: Sr: 2x 1st, Jr: 1x Jr. Grand Champion, 1x Reserve Jr. Grand, 3x 1st, 2x 2nd.

Algedi Farm H Ora de Rosa LA2008 ++V+ 83 G+ 21 1/4" (Recovering from being ill (bloat) on appraisal day - low production) DOB 4-19-04 Sire: Rosasharn's UTM Hamachi *S Dam: Piddlin' Acers Blaze a Trail AR1843 Body and udder: First Freshening Rosa has finally freshened for the first time as a four year old. Even though she was at a disadvantage in the show ring, as her classmates have had another freshening or two, she held her own, picking up a Reserve Grand on her first time out. She's a nice blend of dairy character and power, with wrinkly dairy skin and great length of body, while still retaining good width and depth of body. She has high withers, but her shoulders could be tighter and do roll, her topline is level, and her rump is very wide from thurl to thurl. Rosa's first freshening udder, which has developed more since this picture was taken, is a respectable first time udder, with tight side attachments, a smooth fore udder, and great texture and wide orifices. Her medial ligament could be snugger, but that's something that could improve with another freshening or two. I think she'll be one to watch in the future. Rosa is bred to Ch Algedi Farm Smokin' Hot Honey for 03-28-09 kids. Show Record: ADGA: 1x Reserve Sr. Grand, 1 x 2nd AGS: Jr. 2 x 2nd out of 19 goats Kalee's Notes: Rosa can be a totally different goat depending on her mood. She can be in my face, wanting love and licking me, or shy and not sure if she wants to deal with the crowed, either way she'll always be a favorite.

Esperanza RF Eldora LA2007
+VVV 85 VG 20" Sire: PromisedLand LD Royal Flush *S (Deceased) Dam: MCH Esperanaza ZZ Feona (Deceased) Eldora has good depth of body, tight shoulders and withers, nice top line, straight front legs, loose dairy skin and a W-I-D-E escutcheon. We would like to see better angulation in her. Dora has a stunning first freshening udder! She has spot-on teat placement, a nice MSL, nice front attachments and great side attachments! She does lack in height of rear udder attachment, but another freshening could fix that. Eldora kidded on 02-26-07 with a single buckling sired by Algedi Farm Drops Of Jupiter. Buckling (Desperado) will be retained. Due to kidding complications on both freshenings, Dora is now enjoying an early retirement as a spoiled pet. Show Record: ADGA: 1x Sr. Reserve Grand Champion, 4x 1st AGS: 1x Jr. restricted leg, 1 x Jr. 1st NDGA: 1x Jr. 1st. Kalee's Notes: Dora is my baby! She loves to sleep on my lap and chew her cud. She'd stay there all day if she could. She has that "look at me" attitude in the show ring, and even sets her self up at times! She's my "show girl" for sure!
